Put translation on screen.

Koine can own a second display, float above presentation software or provide a transparent browser-source link.

Public Booth 0.1.2 · Updated 28 August 2026

Choose an output method

In Koine Booth, open Prepare → Add tools → Screen setup. Choose original speech, translation or both; select up to two translated languages; set position and appearance; then preview before going live.

Second screenKoine fills a connected monitor or projector directly.
Floating overlayA transparent, click-through caption bar stays above PowerPoint, Keynote or another desktop app.
Screen linkA transparent or full-screen URL for ProPresenter, OBS, vMix and other browser-source systems.

Use a permanent room or organization screen link when available. It follows the current live event and goes transparent between events, so the A/V desk normally pastes it once.

ProPresenter

The dependable public method is Koine's screen link.

  1. In Screen setup, save the caption appearance and copy the permanent screen link when available.
  2. In ProPresenter 7, create a Prop.
  3. Add a Web element and paste the Koine link.
  4. Size it to fill a 1920×1080 canvas.
  5. Trigger the Prop during the event.

Because it is a Prop, the Koine layer can remain active while songs and slides change.

Read slide text into listener phones

Booth 0.1.2 can also read current and next slide text from a recent ProPresenter 7 installation. Enable Network in ProPresenter Preferences, enter the presentation computer's address and port in Koine's Slides controls—normally port 50001—then link ProPresenter and enable automatic screen translation.

Direct ProPresenter Messages, automatic Message creation and direct Bible Message output require a later Booth release and are not documented as public behavior yet.

EasyWorship

EasyWorship does not publish a supported arbitrary live-text API, so Koine does not claim native text injection.

Same computer

  1. Run EasyWorship normally.
  2. Open Koine's floating overlay above it.
  3. Test the exact presentation mode before the event.

Livestream through OBS or vMix

  1. Send EasyWorship's Main or Alternate Output as NDI.
  2. Add that NDI source to OBS or vMix.
  3. Add Koine's transparent screen link above it at 1920×1080.

Do not use an EasyWorship website schedule item for continuous captions; EasyWorship treats a website as the active schedule item rather than a persistent layer.

OBS

  1. Copy the Koine presentation link.
  2. Choose Sources → + → Browser.
  3. Paste the link and set width 1920, height 1080.
  4. Place the Koine source above the camera or presentation source.

The background is already transparent.

vMix

  1. Copy the Koine presentation link.
  2. Choose Add Input → Web Browser.
  3. Paste the link and use 1920×1080.
  4. Add it as an overlay above the program source.

PowerPoint and Keynote

  1. Configure Screen setup in Koine.
  2. Choose the floating overlay.
  3. Start the PowerPoint or Keynote presentation.
  4. Open the Koine overlay and confirm it remains visible and click-through.

Exclusive full-screen behavior differs by operating system and presentation version. Rehearse on the real booth computer. If the overlay is hidden, use a windowed presentation mode or Koine's direct second-screen output.

If a browser source is blank

  • Confirm the event is live.
  • Confirm Screen setup is enabled and saved.
  • Test the link with Preview.
  • Check that the permanent link belongs to the correct room or organization.
  • Keep the source at 1920×1080 and above the presentation source.
