Which Koine surface should I use?

Koine Platform

Open platform.getkoine.com in a browser when you need organization-wide oversight.

• Plan events across rooms, people and calendars.
• Maintain rooms, presets, speakers, people and operator devices.
• Review recordings and transcripts.
• Manage organization policy, usage and billing.

Platform can plan and prepare an event, but it cannot test audio, control screens or go live.

Koine Booth for Mac and Windows

Use the installed Booth app on the computer that receives the room audio and controls the event.

• See events you created or were assigned.
• Select and test the microphone, mixer or audio interface.
• Show the listener QR code and presentation output.
• Start, pause, monitor and end live translation.
• Review and publish BibleSense suggestions.

A paired room console sees only events for its room. A personally signed-in operator sees their own and assigned events.

Instant Listener

Audience members scan an event or permanent room QR code. Koine opens in their phone browser and asks for a listening language. No account or app is required.

On iPhone, a QR may open Koine's App Clip. On other phones it can open the browser or installed app. The listening flow is the same.

Optional Koine mobile app

The mobile app is not required for live listening. Install it when you want to keep highlights, verses and notes, return to event history, replay available recordings or use saved material with Koine Intelligence.

Accounts, phones and computers

A person has one account and organization access. Their phone, tablet or flexible computer follows that person's permissions. A fixed Booth installation is different: it is paired to one room and can be revoked without changing anyone's account.

Listener phones are not operator devices. They join temporarily through a public QR or link.
